How to host WordPress website on Google Cloud in 8 Minutes


since google start giving away free
credits hosting website on google cloud platform is really interesting
especially if you are a small to medium traffic website and this video will show
you how to set up a wordpress on GCP in just a few minutes let’s check it out here’s the Google cloud platform and
if this is the first time for you you will be asked to create your first
project but since I already hosted my website on this platform I’m going to
create a new project for this tutorial and we need to wait for a few seconds
before we can switch to the new project let’s head to the compute engine section
and select VM instance here you can create your own virtual machine as your
server it’s almost the same as purchasing a VPS package from web
hosting but this time you have full control and ability to scale or upgrade
it later the downside is you will have to manage
it by yourself which requires some technical background and there is no
convenient tools like cPanel or Plesk from here there are two options to set up your instance you can create your
virtual machine here and install all the packages by yourself or you can use the
deployment solution provided on a marketplace for this tutorial we will go
with the easy way and use the existing solution let’s head to the deployment
manager and select deployment then click go to marketplace from here you can
choose the existing solution to deploy on your project for example if you want
to host a web site using Apache you can deploy a LAMP stack solution which will
create an instance for you and also install all the required packages now
since google has a free tier that let you use the smallest VM instance like f1-micro for free this tutorial is going to focus on staying under that condition
and since the CPU and RAM is limited for f1-micro I recommend you to use a
lightweight web server like OpenLightspeed instead of Apache
let’s select open Lightspeed from marketplace and click Launch on compute
engine here you can rename the deployment if you want. Zone is where
your VM instance will be placed you can change Zone to match the website
audience but remember that free tier allows only US zone
next is the VM instance here you can select machine type with suitable CPU
and RAM but for small to medium static website the f1-micro should be
enough for most cases. Next is the disk size which is default to 10 gigs but
since free tier allows up to 30GB so why not. Then make sure you allow our web
traffic on fire or setting then click deploy and wait for a few minutes now the deployment has finished next we
will reserve the static IP address for our server go to our VM instance and
select view Network detail then select external IP address you will see that
our current IP type is ephemeral which means it will change over time so let’s
change it to static if you go to this IP address on browser
now it will tell you to set up a server of its secure shell first so let’s do it
you can connect by click the SSH button on your instance then you will be asked to enter your
domain name I’m going to skip the SSL setting for
now finally update a server to the latest version
this will take five to ten minutes so in the meantime let’s set up the WordPress
by go to your IP address select the language and create a WordPress admin
user and that’s it your wordpress is ready
you can login and start customizing your website now then update the DNS
setting to point to this VM instance IP address and your website is ready with
the current setting it should be able to take on around thousand users per day
easily and even more if you use CloudFlare or cache plug-in but since our
server’s RAM is quite limited it’s best to also turn on a swap file this is to
allocate some disk space to be used as memory when Ram is running low first
view allocate a file with 1 gig size then set the file permission then select
our file to be used as a swap and then turn it on our swap setup is complete
but this is only temporary if you restart the server it will be gone so we
need to write a setting permanently now to keep track of CPU and RAM usage
you can view it in stackdriver for some resources like CPU you can view
it right away at for RAM you need to install an agent first you can use Google provided commands you
pull the install script and execute it the install is complete but if you check
the status it will fail this because we need to enable the meta setting of our
instance first head back to the VM instance and click Edit unchanged
monitoring metadata from 0 to 1 then we start to service and check the
status again now it’s running you should see a
checkmark in a Stackdriver. To view RAM usage select resources and metrics
Explorer first enter GCE VM instance as resource type then select memory usage now you can see your search statistic
report at any time and that should cover the basic steps if you liked this video

Make a Phone Number Clickable in WordPress


Hey y’all welcome to another WordPress
Wednesday! My name is Kori Ashton. In this tutorial I’m just going to teach
you very quickly and easily how to make your phone number on your WordPress
website “clickable.” Really, this can apply to any website. It
doesn’t have to be on WordPress- but I’m going to take you into a WordPress
website and let you kind of see what that
looks like. Quick shout out to our awesome sponsors

these are three awesome resources for you. Just wanted to give you those ideas. So, today as we’re looking at a website
here example. Here is a phone number and it is “clickable.” That’s what we want to have happen. So as somebody comes to your website on a
mobile device, they can just tap their screen and allow
that to dial the phone number. I’m going to scoot this screen just
slightly here to the right. What I want you to look at is down here in
the bottom, left-hand corner of the screen
as I hover over the text
(the phone number.)
You get to see the little path show
up in that bottom, left-hand corner of where this link would take us. Notice that it just says “T L” and it has
a ; and a phone number. That is the “nerd-code” that we’ll
basically be adding in. It’s not difficult at all, but if nobody
shows you then how would you do it? Let me show you how to do it. Here we go. We’re going to go behind the scenes in this
particular page that I have created here.
This is the actual “nerd code” that you
would write. I’m going to show you an even easier way
to do this. Let’s do this. There’s two examples here.
There’s two examples that you just saw. I’m going just do another phone number here.
It’s our WebTegrity line. Type that phone number in here. I’m going
to go ahead and put an h2 tag around it so it’s nice and large font. Right? Then we’re going to go in the visual mode because I was actually just in the
“nerd-code” mode. So both of these are the two phone numbers
that you’ve already seen on the front side example that are “clickable” currently. I’ve already put that code in there, but
I’m going to show you how I did that. I’m going to highlight this link (or this
text) and I want to link it. So I’m going to click on my “insert link”
option. Right here I’m just going to write what we
saw earlier. Telephone-and then we’re going to type in
the phone number. You can do dashes if you’d like, but you
really don’t need to. Phones are smart these days. You will type in the area code (if it’s an
international line you might need to add that as well.) We would say “add link” and now it’s going
to type all the “nerd-code” that it takes behind the scenes for that link to take
place. When we preview it and go to the front
side of the website, again, we’ll have another phone number
here. It’s completely clickable. Of course, you would want to test this on
your cellphone before you just leave it hanging out there
for everybody to think that it’s working. You would want to activate this. Go look
at this particular website on your cellphone. Click on the button and make sure that
your smart phone can pick that up and that it dials correctly. That is it y’all! It’s just that little bit of code behind the scenes (I’ll let y’all look at
it again.) This is the individual code that it’s
writing for you. It’s thelink. Instead of normally doing a full path, (a link of where a file or maybe another
page on the internet sits right here) we’re telling it “phone number.” Another thing that you might have seen
something like this would be a “mail to” option and we would put an
email address in there. That’s how we make an email address
“clickable.” So very similar to that but this “call”
that we need to be putting in there is a “tel” for telephone. How easy is that y’all? Who knew? I hope this helped you and if you like

Make Type in a Circle to Create a Round Logo in Illustrator


Hi everybody, thanks again for coming back
to oneminutedigital.com. Today’s a little bit longer tutorial or advanced – it’s nothing
really “advanced”, it’s just that it takes a little more time to explain these things,
but this is really basic and I’m going to show you how to make type in a circle to create
a round logo. Now a lot of you probably played with the Type on a Path tool, Type on Circle,
and it it works but it just doesn’t look good and it takes a little bit of doing to get
it to do what you want, so I’m going to show you today how to do this. Okay, so I’m going to move this aside and
were going to start from scratch. On your toolbar select the Ellipse tool. It defaults
to the Rectangle tool, select the Ellipse tool and click anywhere on your artboard.
And I’m going to start with a 5 x 5 inch circle. Again, with it still selected, click anywhere
on the art board and make a 4 x 4 inch circle. Okay, and click anywhere on the art board,
and I’m going to make a 3.5 x 3.5 inch circle. Now, select them all and we have a bunch of
blobby circles together, we’re going to get rid of that Fill and just make it a Stroke.
Now you can see all the circles. What we need to do is get them Aligned so they’re exactly
one on top another and sort of centered. So, Selecting All of them, go up to the top and
you have your Alignment tools up here, these are the bunch of shapes with the lines next
to them. And they will help you Distribute the circles evenly so they are one on top
of another. So go to the box that starts right before those shapes start, click and hold,
and make sure “Align to Selection”is selected. It defaults to “Align to Artboard” – make
sure it says “Align to Selection.” And then browse through here, click on the shapes that
are in the center: here’s the Horizontal Align Center. Click there, and you can see it put
them all together horizontally. And now keep looking and find you Vertical Align Center.
Click that one, and now they’re perfectly in place, one on top of another. And that’s
the way we want them. Now if you can see in the finished version
here, there’s an outer circle, there’s the type on a circle, and there’s an inner circle
where the star is. SO that’s these 3 circles. Our type is going to go on that center circle.
SO with that selected, with your White Arrow, we need to cut this line – this circle, rather
– in half. And you can do that by selecting your Scissors tool. Now look on your toolbar
til you find your Eraser, that’s the default. Click and hold, a select the Scissors Tool,
the little scissors icon there. And now I’m going to zoom in a little bit, and we’re going
to have to cut this circle in half. Click there and on the other side click right where
that little white box is, and click there. And what that did, if you use your White Arrow,
is it cut that circle into the top half and the bottom half. Which is perfect, that’s
what we want. Now, with that circle selected, with your
White Arrow tool click on your Type tool and we’re going to work on the top part now. So,
hover over there until you see that sort of squiggly line, click anywhere and now we’re
going to start typing. So we’re going to say: MAKE TYPE IN A CIRCLE because that’s what’s
going to go on top. Um, great, but it’s ah, small and it’s not centered and it looks weird.
So select it, and then go to Window>Type>Character and let’s make it bigger, just
kind of bump up that font size a little bit til it gets to be the size that you want.
And that looks good I think that’s a good enough size. It’s not in the center though,
so over here on your White Arrow, when you click on there you see you get this, like,
white box with some handles – there’s a handle in the center, and there’s another handle
over here. What we want to do is click that handle – not in the white box – but click
on that handle and drag it til it gets to this where that line started. And now that
line is there and that line is there and now you can see your type is in the center. If
it’s not, go up here to your Paragraph Tools, it might be on Align Left, or Align Right
– we want to make sure it’s in the center so now it’s perfectly where we want it to
be. Now we want to do the bottom line. So click
on there with your White Arrow, go over here to your Type Tool, click anywhere and start
typing. I’m going to say: TO MAKE A CIRCULAR LOGO. (I think I spelled that wrong) And as
you’ve probably noticed, all that type disappeared. It’s still there but it doesn’t show because
it’s designed to go this way instead of the way we want it to go. Don’t worry about that.
Again, go over to your White Arrow until you get these weird little handles, the white
box with the handles, click that handle and drag it over to the where that line starts.
And I did spell it wrong. CIRCULAR, circular logo. And that is too many words to fit on
that line so it makes them disappear again, so what you want to do is click here, and
Select everything and go up to your Character Palate, and you’re going to have to bump it
down a little biut til everything fits there. And there you go, we just bumped it down one
font size and now everything fits there to make it – oops! (sign) I did it again. CIRCULAR-
it’s hard to read upside down. I know that now – and now we can bump it back up probably
and it’ll be fine. There we go, okay. So now we have our type in a circle perfectly
aligned but, ah, design-wise, I think it’s much better when you’re making a circular
logo, to have your type read left to right on the top and on the bottom, so people don’t
break their necks trying to read the rest of your words here. So what we need to do
in that case is select that again with your White Arrow, go up to Type>Type on a Path
>Type on a Path Options. That brings up a box here. The first thing you want to do is
select Preview so we can see the changes that we’re making to this line. (coughs) Now, obviously
the next thing you do is just Flip it. We want to Flip it so it read left to right,
and there we go. It does, it flipped it, it reads left to right, but it’s weird, it squished
all the letters together and it cut some of them off. Now you have to play with some of
the rest of the settings. Right now, by default, the type is aligned to the Baseline. Play
with some of the rest of them and you’ll find Ascender, Descender, Center and Baseline.
And you’ll find the one that you want. Ascender is perfect. Say OK, and there we go, now it
reads left to right on the top and left to right on the bottom. But as you might notice,
they are not exactly aligned. If we click here with the White Arrow we can see that
the bottom of the letter forms are kissing that baseline. They are right on that blue
like there in Illustrator. If we click on the bottom, you can see that they’re a little
bit away from that Baseline and they’re pushing out more towards that outer circle. We can
fix that by going back to your Character Palate and finding the Baseline Shift Tool and that’s
the Big A with the little a and the arrow underneath. Just bump it a few points up,
up, up, up, up until it hits that line and kisses it just like the other one. In this
case it’s about 6 points.And now if you select both of them you can see that the type is
exactly aligned. The bottom of the top is hugging the baseline, and the top of the bottom
is hugging the baseline, if that makes any sense. So that’s perfect! The only thing we
have to do now is spice it up a little bit, and make it look like a logo. So, clicking on that outer circle, let’s give
it a Fill. Let’s give it a nice red fill. Woo! That is very bold. And for the Stroke,
clicking on the Stroke in your toolbar, we’re going to go to Window>Stroke and that will
bring up your Stroke Options. Let’s just make it a nice, thick stroke to make it a bold
logo and I think that looks good. You also have the option in here for your Stroke Alignment
to align to the Center, to the Inside or to the Outside. Inside pushes it in a little
bit close, Outside I think is perfect. And that is a good shape, I think and a good thickness
for that Stroke. Okay, that’s great now we have the inside:
clicking on that inside circle, over here in your toolbar let’s make it not a Stroke
but just a Solid Fill. There we go now it’s just solid black and starting to look a lot
more like a logo. Now let’s put that Star in the center and you can use anything, I’m
just using this for demonstration but you can put a picture, an illustration, any thing
you want that is your logo. Over here on your Ellipse Tool, click and hold until you find
the Star Tool and now I’m going to zoom out a little bit. And, holding down Shift click
and drag a Star – that just keeps it standing straight up and not kind of flipping all over
the place. So click and drag til you get a good sized Star. Off the art board there.
Let’s make it white and drag it over here. Little bit big, lets make it a little bit
smaller.Put it in the center there, and I think that’s a good size. Let’s get another
Star, holding down Shift, click and drag a little small one. Move it over there to fill
in that space. Now do Edit>Copy or Command C, and Edit>Paste in Place, or Shift Command
V. Deselect it, then holding down Shift click and drag – and that drags that copy over and
it stays in alignment with the rest of it. And there we go, it’s starting to look a LOT
like a logo, but I think maybe this need a Stroke. So Select this one, hold down Shift,
select the other one, and back in our, ah actually go over here to your toolbar and
make it a Fill and Stroke – by default that’s white and black – and now we can bump up that
the weight of that a little bit. That might be a little thick. Make it align to the Outside,
yeas that’s a little thick, lets bring it down. But I think that looks perfect. And
now you can change the color of the top, make that white and I think that looks a lot actually
I think that looks exactly like this one except I added the little extra there: Established
in 2014. And that was white and Iput it right there at the bottom. You can do lots of cool
things : put another little picture there, another Star, more Shapes, anything but now
it looks a lot like a logo and I think that is wonderful. And now what you can do is Select everything
and you scale it up and down and you can make it fit to whatever you want it to fit to.
One thing I want to address here, since it is a little bit longer tutorial, a lot of
people say: “when I select everything and scale it down, my stroke gets really thick
and it looks weird.” That’s really easy to fix. Up here in the Illustrator Preferences
>General you have the option to Scale your Strokes and Effects. You can see if you don’t
have that checked and you scale everything down that stroke stayed really really thick
and we can zoom in you can see that the stroke around that star go thick and it bumps into
the outside and it looks terrible. So what you want to do is go to Illustrator>Preferences
>General and make sure Scale Stroke and Effects is checked. And then, when you size everything
down those strokes will scale down as well, and it’ll keep everything in proportion. That
happens a lot and it’s that’s the easy fix for it. Okay so there is your Creating Type in a Circle

Yoast structured data blocks (block editor) – Yoast SEO for WordPress training


In this screencast we’re going to look
at a very cool feature of Yoast SEO in the block editor, which is that you can
add structured data blocks to your posts. Before we do that of course we have to
know what structured data blocks do, so let’s look at a search result page for
“how to bake a cake” and we’ll see that there are more than just the regular results.
First of all, you have a featured snippet, which tells you exactly how to
bake a cake step by step. And also, if you scroll down you’ll see that the snippets
right here have star ratings, for example. these special snippets are generated by
what we call “structured data”, which is code that you add to the page to tell
Google a little bit more about the content on your page. So if you check out
the page of this featured result for example, we’ll see that it has all these
steps in the article, but Google can’t interpret that, so what you have to do is,
in the code, place a little piece of code and we’ll look it up right here – yep here
we are – which tells Google: “Hey, this is a how-to step and this is step one and
step one is…” and then a bit of text of course. If you do that, you increase your
chances of Google showing search results like these for your site. So Yoast SEO
allows you to do away with the code and just add a block, which will add the
markup (the code) automatically. So, let’s see how it works. So if you add a
block and scroll down to the bottom, you’ll see the Yoast structured data
box option. If you click that, you’ll see that Yoast SEO has several
structured data blocks, which you can add. So let’s add a how-to.
Just “How to make a cake.” The first step is to “Gather your
ingredients. Get the flour…” etc. The second step is to “Preheat the oven”
and so on and so forth. You can add a total time, so let’s say this cake
will take 3 hours and 30 minutes to bake And you can add images as well for your
ingredients. And you can insert steps if you want to. So if you fill in the steps – and of course
this doesn’t have to be recipes this is gonna be anything, like
some work you have to get done, anything that you can break down into steps, you
can do with this structure data block. OK, so let’s add the other one as well.
You have a frequently asked questions. You can enter a question and then the
answer to the question so Google can show these in the search
results. Now, as Yoast SEO progresses we’ll add more and more of these
structured data blocks to make sure that you have the best chance as possible of
adding structured data and of course getting those coveted rich snippets.

How To Choose The Right Logo For Your Business


– So how to choose the right logo style for your business? Let’s say you’re starting up a new business or a new organisation and you’re ready to start
the process of having your logo created. There are five main
styles of logo out there. But which one, is right for you? Is it a wordmark? A lettermark? A brandmark? A combination mark? Or a symbol? Who knows? I mean what if you make the wrong choice? It’s going to ruin your business isn’t it? Well not it’s not, really. When it comes to choosing
the logo style for your brand there is no hard and fast rules. You can choose any of
the five different styles that you want. All that you need to do is to make sure that the logo style suits your brand. So let’s go through the
five different logo styles today and I will tell you the benefits and the negatives of each of them. And at the end you can decide
along with your designer which one is right for you. So let’s go. So the first one I want to
talk about is the wordmark. And a wordmark is pretty self explanatory. It’s a word. It’s your business’s
name written out in type. There is no guess work involved. It clearly states the name of your brand. Wordmarks work best if the
name of your brand is also quite short. You don’t want it to be
too long because then it’s far too much to take in. So the shorter your brand name the more suitable I
would say a wordmark is. Now a quick tip, if you do go down the route of using a wordmark for your brand logo, don’t use free fonts. The problem there is that
if you use a free font, chances are thousands of
other people are using the same one. Because it’s free. If you’re going to
choose to do a wordmark, the best thing to do is to look at commercial fonts. Fonts that you pay for. They’ll be less people
using those and you’ll also have a much wider choice
and they tend to be much better designed. Or if you want to go really unique then draw your wordmark from scratch. Have it hand drawn. Don’t use an existing typeface. Some famous brands that use
wordmarks for their logo, Google, Disney, Coca Cola, and Facebook. So next up we’ve got lettermarks. Lettermarks are a good
choice if you do have a long name for your brand. Because what they do
is they shorten it down to just your initials. And by shortening your
logo with just the initials it gives every word or
letter equal visual weight in the design. So let’s say for example
your brand name was three words and had two short words and one long one. Visually that’s quite unbalanced. But by taking just the
initials of each of those three words and creating a logo from that you get a visual balance straight away. The IBM logo is a good example of this. International Business Machines. But pretty much everyone around the world knows them as IBM. Lettermarks are also
good to save on space. If you’re taking a long brand
name and shortening it down then stands to reason that
your logo will be able to go into much smaller spaces
in your branding materials and in other people’s marketing. So if you know that your logo is going to be used in
small spaces quite regularly than the lettermark would
be a good choice for you. Some lettermark examples would be as we mentioned, IBM, there is EA, CNN, and NASA. Next up is the brandmark or the symbol. When it comes to expressing an
idea without the use of words a brandmark is a great
way to go because it uses a symbol or an icon. This is especially useful
for brands which are global because it crosses all
the language barriers. A word of warning though, because you don’t use any
words it makes it much more difficult for people to find out what the name of your brand is, especially if your logo
is seen in isolation and not on some of your
branding materials. Personally, I would only
recommend a brandmark to businesses or companies
that already have a very high level of brand recognition. If your brand is new to the world stage, then you’re probably best
off avoiding the brandmark. Some brandmark examples would be Apple, Shell, Nike, Now we’re onto the combination mark. This uses both symbols and text. Hence the name. Combination. This style of logo is
often the most popular because it uses both a brandmark
and a wordmark together. This makes it much easier
for people to see the name of the brand and have an
icon that they can visually associate with it. It’s important to get
the balance right between the text and the symbol
in a combination mark. As such it can often
take longer to produce one of these designs as there is more to take into consideration
for the visual balance. Some combination mark
examples would be Adidas, Red Bull, Jaguar, and Dropbox. Now we’re onto the last of
the five styles of logos. And that’s an emblem. Emblems are similar to combination marks in that they both use text and symbols, the difference here is that the text is contained inside of the symbol. And it creates a sort of
a badge or a shield look to the logo. The benefit of having an emblem type logo is that they’re quite
compact so they will fit into smaller spaces. The down side to this
though is that because your text is contained inside the symbol if you have a lot of text there when your logo gets to small sizes, the text may become illegible. So in that instance you
may become quite restricted to how small your logo can go. So if you do decide to go
for an emblem type logo pay close attention to
how much text or detail you put into the design
or you may run into legibility issues when
your logo is quite small. Emblem logo examples would be Starbucks, Harley Davidson, NFL, and Burger King. So as you can see, there are positive and
negatives to each of the five different logo styles. There is no right or wrong choice in which one you use. But you should discuss
it closely with your logo designer to make sure
that the one you do choose, is the best fit for your brand. If you don’t currently

so today I have some real game changers
for you as a local designer but you can also use these techniques to spill a bit
to your workflow in general in Adobe Illustrator so the real trick here is
using actions to automate stuff in your workflow our Slugger designing when
you’re actually designing a logo it’s really useful to create multiple
different versions of a design so you can then go ahead and edit each
different design making adjustments as you go this is the workflow of a logo
designer you design one design then you make some slight changes to that design
and you carry on evolving the design as you go so you’re going to need to open
up the actions panel here and what the action panel does is essentially record
a process and then save it so you don’t need to go through the whole process
again you just click one button and we’re actually going to make a set for
logo designing which we can put all of our actions into so click the top right panel and then
create new action and for this one we’re going to call it create multiples you
can assign a keyboard shortcut too but I’m not going to do that so now it’s
recording everything we do illustrator is going to save as an action so first
I’m going to use the alt option key to duplicate the logo and then align it
centrally using the smart guides then I’m going to press command or control D
to duplicate that process and then I’m going to use the option key to duplicate
another version down below then do the same one more time so I have six
versions of my logo then once I’m finished I can go ahead and stop
recording the action here so as you can see illustrators actually saved every
single process and let’s test out the theory there select this logo and then
hit play on the action and as you can see I’ve generated six different
versions of my logo which I can now evolve the design further in my work
process this just saves time and it’s really useful to have this as an action
when your logo designing one last time that’s just ultimate it
for this symbol here and wala I have six symbols evenly spaced out across my
upwards and how neat is that okay for the second action it’s a really simple
one but it’s something that I often use in my workflow in signing a logo and
that is a Pathfinder window specifically the minus four option now
you can automate every single function in the Pathfinder window but I’m just
going to show you the minus four option today I do use this a lot when I’m
designing a logo so let’s go ahead and create a new action in the logo
designing folder and call it minus front Pathfinder window so now it’s recording
I’m going to actually – front of this object here and then hit stop on the
actions panel and as you can see it has been cutouts so just a test that is actually worked
so let’s hit play on the – for adoption and as I said you can actually automate
every single function in the Pathfinder window so you never need to open it
again within your workflow so on to the third action today for logo designing
when you’re actually designing a logo or a symbol you might want to test the
scale of that symbol at different variations and this is because the logo
is going to be used on like a business card or fly or a billboard at different
sizes so let’s make an action for testing the scale use the alt option key
to duplicate the symbol or the logo and then come up to object to transform and
then scale I’m gonna resize it down with 70% of the original version now I’m
going to do this few more times and you could technically just ultimate this one
action but if you do that then the symbol is going to be spread out more
across the upward but I want full control over the spacing between each of
the logo symbols so as I’m duplicating with the alt/option key and then scaling
down by 70% illustrator is saving each process and
move in the actions panel also subscribe to Soto graphics if you
want to keep boosting your skills as a graphic designer so I’m going to hit pause or stop on the
action unless you can see I’ve got a nice scale of my logo here so I can test
out how it looks at different variations and again I’m going to test the action
itself to see if it functions properly so let’s select the symbol and then hit
play and as you can see in a matter of one second I’ve created a complete scale
of my logo which I can do with any logo in the future this is what actually
automating is really really awesome so lastly when we’re saving a design or a
logo we’re going to want to save an AI version but also save any I version has
expanded The Strokes and also outline the fonts and we can actually make an
action for that and I’m going to call it saving AI and expanded but first we want
to align the design perfectly centrally in the canvas select the design then
group together with command or control G and then align to the artboard now it’s
aligned I can go ahead and save the native AI version I’ve already saved
this before so I’m just gonna overwrite it
so now we have one version of the logo saved in AI but then we also want a
different version where it’s expanded and the fonts are outlined and then just
go ahead and save that as expanded so we have two versions of our logo in the AI
formats and voila we actually have that complete process alternated so we can
then just click that button and illustrators gonna save our logo in two
different versions just as one click of a button you can also automate saving a
logo as a PNG jpg anything like that it is really useful but tell me what kind
