Prepare Your Page: Create Your First Post | Facebook Blueprint

New Zealand mountains on my bucket list, I need to do a little more work
to set myself up for success. You can do the same with a little pre-work

In this video, you’ll learn what to do before posting so that, when you do, you’ll feel as good as I do
when I reach another mountaintop. First things first, [Keep your business Page current and complete.]
make sure the info on your business page is up to date and fully complete. If that sounds a little unfamiliar to you, don’t worry, you can check out our other Facebook Blueprint content
to make sure you’re covered. Next, write a welcome message. Think of it as a way to welcome customers
onto your Page just like you would
if they walked into your actual business. Pro tip, pin the welcome message
to the top of your page. That way, people will see it right when they visit. It will stay there until you decide
to change it or remove it. After you’ve got that message pinned to the top, build a following before you officially post. There are people out there who will like your page.
You just have to find them. Invite friends and family
to invite their friends and family to check out your business page. Network is the keyword in social networking. Do you want a gold star? Set up messaging, people love instant answers. It adds a personal touch that shows you really care. To turn on messaging,
go to Settings at the top of your Page. From General, click Messages. Check the box next to “Allow people to contact my Page privately
by showing the Message button,” then select Save Changes and you’re done. Remember, only do this
if you think you have the time to respond. If not, people may get a little frustrated. And there you have it,
