I’m going to try to training on that and all with groovy training. So that’s coming. So that’s everything in a nutshell. It’s pretty straight forward. They’re claiming they’re going to be the best funnel builder out there on the Internet within two years. We’re seeing their board. I do believe they could reach it. Um, so So, yes , I believe, with in two years they can replace ClickFunnels which there’s going to be bold statement to make their making that they would within two years be the top final builder out there, plus Branding Sites, plus Oh, yeah, I forgot this year than me take me back out to screen for you can see everything. Um, yeah. This is something that most platforms don’t have. Uh, sorry, I’ve been bouncing around. Anyways, what most sites don’t have is this future right here. You’re able to export this site. So no more push of button from LeadPages or BuilderAll or ClickFunnels if you cancel . You lose all of that work, Not no more your able to export your site. Get that, you’re able to download the html, this code when it’s there. . Um, anyways, that’s something to think about. Um, if you put in all this work, don’t you want to be secure and safe able to download your download this export it able to give to your friends? Uh, whatever. I mean, the whole point is, is yours. You built it. It’s yours. That’s all I got to say. Thanks for watching this Groove Pages review. If I can come up with more videos on it here shortly, I’ll post them so keep eye on this pageor actually keep eye out for groovy training. 网站搬家(一),WordPress博客从阿里云到腾讯云(最困难)。选服务器的一点坑,腾讯云备案建站。手动备份网站和数据库。域名注册与解析的区别,更改DNS服务器。Website moving

Hi Hi, everybody This is a little trick here As I mentioned in my blog, the original aliyun server is due to expire The renewal fee is very, very expensive And then the double eleven didn’t take part The choice of a server for a blog Trispecies Or you’re going to continue to use the current server That’s a lot more expensive But you don’t have to move or something like that Or the second option is to participate in the aliyun double 12 event Continue to buy only a year’s worth of servers Cost 800 dollars And then wait for the next year’s double eleven to borrow another new user and buy another three years of service It’s going to cost 800 dollars That’s 1,000, six, only You need the inside of the aliyun to switch servers And then the third option is to buy the Tencent cloud server Because I’m a new user of Tencent cloud You can participate in very favorable activities Three years It’s only 1,500 dollars But you need to migrate Blog Suggest websites to refile and so on My last choice was to buy the Tencent cloud three year server, which cost 1,500 yuan If you’re interested in reading this article Some pits about buying cloud servers Let’s look at the situation where I moved My domain name is bought in the Ali cloud And then the DNS server is also used as the aliyun But not anymore Now I’ve changed it I was using a DNS server for aliyun And then my server is the Tencent cloud server, this one So my blog site is probably the most complicated I’m fine with that If you have a need to move I think this video should be able to solve your problem There’s a lot of things to think about moving around But I made an outline So the step process is pretty clear I think it’s a good step to do that, wait a minute I’m gon na use one of the other servers So first of all If you’re buying a local server So for example, I’m in Shanghai and the first step to buying a server is to put it on file First to submit the filing Because it takes time We can do other things in advance of the filing What’s interesting about this is that Even if I had a file in aliyun, the server switched from aliyun to Tencent cloud I’ll put it up again It’s important to make sure that you decide to buy a local server My blog was in the case of Ali cloud as well But now we have to file it Of course it’s called re-access But the whole process is really no different from the filing It took me almost ten days to do the whole thing Concrete And the process recommendation is to look at my blog It’s not shared yet But I’ve got the pictures here, and I’ve been there for two days I’m going to put some of these processes into a blog And I’m going to put it down here That’s the first step And then the second step is backup Make sure you backup your blog when you move to a blog. I’m gon na share my backup here I’m backing up the website and the database export back to the local So for example, this is the two files that are backed up by number 25 This is the zip file on the website This is the database file First, back up the database, there are two ways to back up the database We can go to the database through the panel and export it manually Let’s say I’m in the database now Find a database of your own blog I’m the one And I’m going to select here and export it And that’s what you have to back up the database Because we’re exporting it in this panel And the next time you import it, you’re gon na go into this panel And there’s another one that’s a little bit easier to choose here which is the method that I use Add a plan task to the plan task and back up the database And then add But I’ve got it here, and I’ve got this planning task and I’m going to do it And then you look at the logs December 29 has been backed up So I’m just going to do it manually And it has been successful Take a look at backup backup times December 29th So what we want is this file And then download it Either way you can do it What kind of export we choose That’s what you choose to import So let’s say I have this database file that I exported outside So I’m gon na import it when I import it This is the database file And then back up the website files and package the entire website Make sure you do one thing before packing Reduce the volume of the entire site as much as possible You can delete some plugins that you don’t want to use The second is to try to compress your images as much as possible My website is not compressed It was 400 + trillion So this is December 08, it’s 472 M December 25th It’s estimated to be over 550 trillion So whether it’s packaged or compressed It’s very hard to download But the image is compressed and it’s only 200 megabytes It’s a very relaxing process So I highly recommend that you compress the images, my images The compression plug-in is it, shared before Also developed by tinyPNG As for some of its specific uses You can see my blog Because I should have shared it before Here This article, and then the whole website selection, all of them And then compress and compress. the whole process It’s gon na take a couple of minutes Look at the configuration of your server, now it’s ready I only have 200 left after I’m compressing it So it’s pretty fast And then download it And our whole website is made up of these two parts, the website and the database This file contains some skeletons of the entire website, and the data is just filled in So you have these two files We’ve backed up the whole website And then you stick them together So that’s the backup Next is the DNS server that changes the domain name This step should be chosen It doesn’t matter if you don’t do it But given the record I’m still gon na make the DNS server for the domain name From aliyun to Tencent cloud, one step at a time, with the domain name associated with it Student: I think there are two that are the registrar of the domain name Where you buy it And then where they’re going to renew their fee, the registrar’s role Secondly One is the domain name parser, which is the domain name Mapping IP, and we’ll see, let’s look at registration Like what I’m doing here My domain name is bought in the Ali cloud So my registrar here is aliyun And then if I want to renew it It’s also in the Ali cloud But I want to add a parsing record It’s not in the aliyun Although I have two parsing records here But these two records are useless Because my DNS server is not aliyun And here we are No information about DNS servers to be queried That’s the difference between a registrar and a parser Of course there is no such thing as the parser, which is what I said. where do we add or modify the parsing record I still have to go to this DNS server And The DNS server’s modification address is related to the platform you register for domain name So that’s pretty clear My domain name is registered in Ali’s name So I’m gon na modify the DNS server, and that’s the same thing Come Ariyun change, click management And then you can go to this interface DNS changes to the DNS servers that you want Because I want to put all my analytics in the Tencent cloud So I’m going to change it to a DNS server for the Tencent cloud I’m gon na go over here and I’m gon na go in here and I need to fill in the Tencent cloud’s DNS server But we don’t know yet So go to Tencent’s cloud search domain Find the domain name management into the parse list So now I have a domain name that’s parsing, adding parsing By reason This is the name of the domain But it has been added So let me just add one Determine And then I’m going to parse, and I’m gon na show you the DNS server address of Tencent cloud We can just fill these two in here Let’s say I pick one So let me paste it in, and I can paste it And then you can confirm that it’s going to take anywhere from three hours to twenty hours And it says here It takes at least 72 hours to take effect globally But we can add Does not affect the current parsing record I’ve changed Tencent’s DNS to this side It doesn’t work And now I need to parse it over here Because when it works, the parsing comes into effect Our original parsing record, we won’t be able to parse it for a while So we can go ahead and add the original parsing record to this side Let’s say I have two parsing records here The host record is @, the access type is A record value It’s this IP Copy it in And make sure that Let’s add another one, and this will work I’m still gon na be able to access this IP in a seamless way This is the third step change the DNS server By reason If it’s just a website move or a blog migration It doesn’t matter if you don’t do it But we have a record in the country I don’t know, I don’t know Even after the success of Tencent’s cloud And then you replace that IP with Tencent’s IP in the aliyun Is Tencent able to recognize me as a domain name that has been put on record So I’m going to end up with this Change the DNS server to the Tencent cloud And there are other steps in the future One video is a little bit long So, this is a move away from the website The first video of the blog migration, the friends who are interested please continue to pay attention to the dragon skills, ok, bye bye

BACKUP KONFIGURASI OTOMATIS KE EMAIL – MIKROTIK TUTORIAL [ENG SUB]

BACKUP KONFIGURASI OTOMATIS KE EMAIL – MIKROTIK TUTORIAL [ENG SUB]

Hello guys
welcome to the Mikrotik Indonesia Channel in this video we will discuss about how to do automatic backups regularly wonder how stay tuned on the Mikrotik Indonesia youtube channel and for those of you who haven’t subscribed
please subscribe to this channel first and also press the bell button so you can get the latest video notifications from our channel so in this video we will discuss how to backup configuration periodically we can send backup files to email regularly for example, once a week or once a month so this method will minimize the loss of backup files that are in the router storage for those of you who haven’t watched our previous video about backup restore you can see the video first for the video link we will embed it in the description column to backup configuration regularly using a scheduler is not difficult The first step you must remotely remotely use your Winbox application My router already has a basic configuration Basic configuration has been applied so that this router can be connected to the internet we can test using Ping to google.com here it appears that my router is already connected to the internet then the next step we will configure email how to configure it we enter into the Tools-Email menu if you use your own mail server then you can use the mail server to send backup files automatically for the case example in this video I will use an email from google (gmail) for server parameters we can fill it with smtp.gmail.com then the port parameters for this server are 587 and the TLS Start parameter we choose Yes then the From parameter or the sender’s identity parameter for example this router is a gateway router that wants to implement automatic backups using a scheduler so from this parameter we can fill in the identity of the Router-Gateway then the user and password parameters we fill in accordance with the user and password of the email that we use we fill in accordance with the email and password that we use if we use email from google we need to activate the feature of gmail which is “Access less secure applications” the way we have to go into the google account that we will use then enter the account menu after that we enter the Security menu and we have to enable “Unsafe application access” make sure you have activated this feature so that the Router Mikrotik can send backup files directly to our email into the email that we registered earlier Next we will add a new script here In this script there will be 2 actions, the first will create a backup file automatically then the second action will send a backup file that has been made to an email we enter the System-Script menu then click Add we name it automatic backup for the contents of the Script you can fill in / system backup save name=for this example I give the name Router-Gateway at the end of the script marked; then we give pause for 3 seconds by adding the script: delay 3s; so this pause function when we have successfully made a backup file not directly sent to our email in this example I did not give a break that is too long, only 3 seconds next script to send this backup file to an email by typing / e-mail tool send to=”fill our email” fill in our previous email from google add subject=”Router-Gateway” then body=”contents of email” in this example I fill in “Hello Admin, here it is the latest file from the Router Gateway” then file=”” we fill in the same as the name of the backup file that we made through the previous script because if the file names aren’t the same then this script won’t work as it should we can copy the name of the file from the script above so it’s not mistaken then start-tls=yes and end with; if we can apply this script here will appear 1 new script with the name of the automatic backup that we have made before after we succeed in making the script, the next step is we will test the script that we made whether it can run or not for the testing step we can press the Run Script button we click until the count in the Run Count changes then we check the Files menu whether or not the latest backup file was successfully made here you can see there is a new backup file then we check whether the email was successfully sent or not we check by going to gmail we used earlier here you can see a new file in the inbox if we try to open it, there is a backup file that has been made in it so in conclusion the script that we made this time has gone well after making sure the script that we made has gone well as we expected then the next step we will create a Scheduler we must enter the System-Scheduler menu on this Scheduler menu we will schedule the script that we made for example you will make this backup file once every week or maybe once a month this router will make backup files automatically which will then be sent to your email This scheduling can be adjusted to your individual needs we can add for example we give the name automatic backup Start Date parameter we fill in the current date seen on the 13th laptop and is appropriate Start Time parameter which means when the script starts we can try for example now at 15:10 you can adjust to your needs at midnight or when you go home from work maybe then the interval which is the most important parameter so when this Rule will run will be set on this interval parameter We can enter the interval parameter for example 7d or maybe 30s if we want to make regular backups every month then we fill the On Event parameter with the name of the Script that we created earlier we enter the System-Script menu and then we copy the name of the script into the On Event parameter after the Rule is finished we can Apply Tips when you use Scheduler, make sure the Router is using the correct clock settings so the clock settings are in accordance with the current clock conditions seen on the laptop 15:08 and the router is also the same that is 15:08 then we will wait until 15:10 to find out whether this Rule is working or not and now the router shows at 15:10 the Rule Scheduler that we made already calculates that the Scheduler has run once we can check the File List menu on the router, a new backup file will appear looks made at 15:10 according to the Rule Scheduler we have made then we can check the inbox in the email so in the email inbox we will also get a new email containing the backup file that has been made so that’s all about the regular configuration backup tutorial using the Scheduler * Tips
Make sure the time on the router is correct so the Scheduler feature can work as it should * Second tip
Make sure the router can connect to the internet You must have implemented basic config so that this router can connect to the internet and be able to send emails containing configuration backup files Thank you for watching for those of you who haven’t subscribed
please subscribe to our channel first press the bell button too so you can get the latest video notifications from our channel so that this video can be more useful you can share this video and if you have any questions please write them in the comments column below Thank you for watching

pressing CTRL + D Change it to this color I’m pressing D the dropper tool then

stroke to make it stroke then move it to the back
alright let’s increase the stroke width go to this and stroke style change it to
pixel and change it by 40. convert the stroke to path by go to path stroke to

CorelDRAW Logo Design – How To Make a Compass Rose using Bevel and Star Shapes Tutorial

CorelDRAW Logo Design – How To Make a Compass Rose using Bevel and Star Shapes Tutorial

CorelDRAW Logo Design – Compass Rose Hi I’m George Pearson and this is training for CorelDraw these are just a few examples from some of my video tutorials. Let’s just get this stuff out of the way here. Now when you’re working along with my project you can download the actual project file, you’ll find a link right there inside of the description. Go ahead take a look at the description and you’ll find a link in there to download this file, and of course make sure that you Like the video, Share the video with your friends, and also Subscribe. Okay let’s go ahead now and get on to the video tutorial. In this CorelDRAW video we’ll be making this logo design compass rose here. If I just back out a little bit you can see this thing there we go so be doing this compass rose it’s pretty straightforward but it does touch upon a few interesting techniques doing a bevel technique in here and a few of these shapes doing some shape stuff and of course a little bit of drop shadows as well ok let’s go ahead and start off with a brand new file I’ll just click the plus right there which gives us a new file besides I have this set at is 11 by 8 and a half and it’s in landscape mode and 300 dots per inch she was ok there we go I’m just gonna zoom in just touch their air and let’s start off with creating a star this is the basic part of our whole thing for our star I’m just going to give this an orange color to begin with but we’ll change the color once we have this thing on the page now on the star your basic settings are 4 points because doing it for point star so it’s 4 points and then for our settings up here you want to have 71 for the sharpness now if I pull that out that gives us this kind of a star like that now the sharpness setting here this controls that angle right there between the points that’s what that sharpness setting does so let’s put that back to up to 71 again there we are okay there’s the basic star you know I picked all them with around a little bit now we have this in position we can resize this decides that I want for this and I have mine sized at one point 95 inches so let’s go up here I’ll just make both of these say one point 95 like that and that enter key has undo that’ll lock ratio there’s I can make sure these stay the same there we go look it’s exactly the same width as the height and there’s at one point 95 and zoom in to touch okay there’s the basic star shape that’s kind of the basic of the whole thing the first thing we’re going to be doing now on this we need to change our coloration on this and then we’d be putting in that bevel on this as well so right down here at the bottom of the window just double click on that little icon here and it brings up the Edit fill options so now over here on the hex side we can actually change this number the one I used was FF c64 one and she’s it’s just a little kind of a medium orange color that’s all that is okay now I want to put in that kind of a bevel effect on this you’ll find the bevel listed up here under e fix and bevel right there now what this does is it brings up the bevel docker z little check mark means oh that’s already up so I have my run over here I’ll just click on that and there’s the bevel docker right hand side now in here we can set up our distance and our light controls so for the distance on this one we’re going to be changing this one to 0.3 on the intensity I have – at 97 on the direction 24 and altitude 53 inches apply and there we go that gives us at my settle setting in here so the altitude if I change that around a bit you can see how this increases or decreases the brightness of that so I’m going to have my set of 53 there we go the direction changes the direction of the light so you can choose which direction you want respect kind of rotating rod on your direction you know I have mine set for 24 there we go and the intensity here controls these you can see they’re kind of the app manually the quality of that so you can have kind of a soft lighting or a real intense lighting it mines pretty close to the top here at 97 and you know finally the distance up here if I pull this down a bit and just continue on down real real low there we go so you see that that gives you the distance here up the bill how far the Belleville goes suppose to fit on this shape 31 works out very nicely that’s what that does okay so that’s the bevel I’m also using these soft edge there’s two options here soft edge and emboss from using the soft edge on this I can only have this done I want to place this on to the center of the page so let’s click on the object and then object align and distribute center page there we are so everything else to be based upon that position of the center of the page okay now I want to have another one in here so let’s go over here to our star again I’ll draw another star just like that’s going to come in you know very very similar let’s change the coloration of this now the color that we chose over here is now down here in our little color set let’s go ahead and choose right there that just matches that color for us okay let’s now set the size on this second star and all of our settings so on this one I want to have the settings at four point and the sharpness at 87 which is going to be giving us a thinner edge here there you go 87 and it’s change our size to 1.75 now let’s type that in up here and here we go 1.75 and I want to rotate this around by 45 degrees there we go and then we’ll apply a bevel to this as well our bevel doctor is still up to squad and take a look at our settings now on this one I’ll be changing the bevel distance to 26 there we go everything else is staying the same on that let’s now Center this one object and align and distribute Center page puts it right on top and now right-click and we’re going to move this order back up page it just puts it in behind like that there we go okay so that’s our two lines in here let’s double check this I found that I could do this twice reasons I don’t really know why but come up here and make sure that your settings are the same this one we can notice go ahead and lock the ratio and let’s set this back to the 1.75 there we are okay so that’s what we’re looking for we have these two in here now if you want you can get rid of the edge at the outline on this that’s right up here I’ll set that to none click on our back one in here set that one to none as well okay now we want to bring our first circle onto this so go over here to the circle ellipse tool and we’d be drawing from the center and if you hold down the ctrl and the shift key it draws right from the middle I’m going to start off first with making this thing just a black circle hold the ctrl shift key and play and see how it’s just you know drawing from the center like that it’s really easy to do that okay just get rid of that one now the coloration I want on this I want to have no fill so click on the no option right there and I want to have it white for the outline so right click on point that gives us no fill and then white and then set the size up here to four points and come right over the center doesn’t need to be example to justice in just a second hold the ctrl shift key down and pull us out until it’s about out here somewhere it looked like that now there’s a whole white circle we’re only seeing it where it’s overlapping now the size you want on this is a 1.5 so just go ahead and adjust the size up there’s that this size is 1.5 now to put a bevel on this I need to convert this outline over into a shape so go up here to object and come down convert outline to object and there we go now I have that done I can apply a bevel on to this so I’ll see the whole circle as soon as you do the bevel so for the bevel billa distance 26 that’s fine 97 for our intents now on the direction i’ve changed the direction here do this one at 95 everything else the same interests apply and there we go there is that circle so far so good now let’s make sure this is centered so object on line and distribute center of page there we go that’s now nicely lined up with everything else okay last little bit on this we’ll do our drops out of here and then we’ll do a drop shadow on that back star as well so let’s go over to the object properties actually object manager there air there’s the curve make sure you click on just the curves that your the bevel is not selected it’s just on curve and go over here click on drop shadow tool and come in the middle and just pull out just a little bit like that I just guess things started now that we have this done we can adjust our settings so set the feathering up here to to leave the transparency at 50 and then on the offset click the top one up three notches its point zero three and the bottom one here down to so it’s over and down and there we go there is that drop shadow okay back to our pick tool let’s go to the star in behind that’s this one open that up make sure the bevel is not selected if you see the build like that just click on the star so just the star selected and not the bevel and we do the same thing on this for that drop shadow setup drop shadow right in the middle pull out a little bit that just gets it started for us we can now adjust our settings so – and then up three and down – and that matches that drop shadow so there we go up there is the drop shadows okay next thing we have is one more little circle in the middle in here let’s go ahead and do that little circle back over here to the circle same trick as we did on this one we want to left-click on no color so there’s no fill right click on white and they’re gonna be setting this to two points there we go come into the middle hold down the ctrl and shift keys and pull out and I want to have this was set at point zero eight so pull it out a little bit like that and then just adjust this to 0.8 and it makes that exact right size and again same thing as before we’ll go up here to object convert outline to object and then we’re going to apply our bevel it’s over here to the Dockers there’s the bevel these settings are the same as for the other circles so just click apply there it is there’s no drop shot on this one so leave that one all alone I want to move this back though and to move things forward and back you can use the control key and the page up and page down keys on the keyboard so I’ll use the control key and page down key and just tap that a couple of times and that moves it in behind okay that part of this is finished we now just need our big circle on the outside of this and then the lettering and we’re all ready to go okay so over here to the circle I’m just going to grab just a blue for this there we go myself cyan and come over to the center control shift key pull this out a bit like that let’s get our size set this is at 3.5 in Turkey and that matches because those are lock ratio right there so 3.5 I now want to put our gradient on this I’ll go to the object properties and go to fill up here and then click on fountain fill there we are let’s change the rotation let’s come down here this little there you hear the rotation set the set negative 90 that puts the light at the bottom of the dark at the top let’s now adjust our coloration in here I’m gonna go over here to the dark blue hit that and let’s just pull this down a little ways make the top a little bit darker about 1/3 of the way down on that one and go over it says white click on the white one there’s our white color pull the slider up into the blue range and then come up just a little bit of blue stay along the topper so it’s a bright blue so you have a light blue to dark blue sir we’re looking for alike come on medium blue it’s a light blue to medium blue okay last thing I want to do so I put this is the back of the page so it’s right click here we go right click and order send it back up page it’s just in behind there we go okay let’s zoom in on this and that’s now put in our lettering and if our littering go to the type tool click on white so we have white text change the size here to 24 and then change the type to Times New Roman if it’s not up in here if you haven’t used it recently its way at the bottom of the list way down there someplace there you go Times New Roman just click up here the top was a capital N and it’s in white so I can see that nice and easily this too might get duplicate of this now duplicate is holding the control key down hitting the D key and discover to the object manager so here’s our two letters now the top one is the white click on the bottom one and it’s changes to black right there and then hit the right arrow 1 + down arrow 1 and now while we’re on this one is change our transparencies click on transparency button right over here left hand side transparency tool click on the uniform transparency and it should default to a setting of 50 that’s fine okay go back to the pick tool and put this up just a little bit I’m going to go in to drag a selection like that around from the outside so it’s easy to do around those right click and group objects that gives me a group that makes it easier to work over here in the object manager get to the right hand side this is our east side so same thing grab the text tool everything should be the same up here now click capital e there we go ctrl D which duplicates it click on the bottom of those two text lines make that black one tap over one tap down transparency tool uniform at 50 back to the pick tool and there we go grab those together right click and group objects and then I use the arrow keys and let’s kind of tap this over into position you know about right in there somewhere okay left side is West so grab the type tool same thing just one click shift W and then ctrl D makes a duplicate click on the bottom of those two text lines so I’m grouping these that’s because it’s easy to see the two text lines so I have a lot of text lines in here but if I group those when I’m done with them then I have just these two easy to spot text lines that’s why I’m doing that ok black for that tap over tap down on the arrow keys back to the transparency a uniform feel it should say 50 back to the pick tool looks good selection around those two right click group objects and then just use the arrow keys and let’s tap that over into position there we go gonna be a little further over just kind of visually getting that position and then finally that bottom one to finish off the whole project and that’s the type tool capital S and ctrl D duplicates it click on the bottom of those two text lines black one tap over one tap down on the arrow keys back to transparency uniform fill should say 50 and pick tool there we go and this just don’t marquee around those right click group objects and then arrow keys to move that into position and there we go there’s a nice cup of Strozier you can see here those little lines that’s just kind of a screen thing don’t worry about that that goes away there it go and there it is so that’s how to make a compass rose it’s kind of fancy little map symbol here inside of coral draw in this case the version x8 and let’s just go ahead and fit that on our page there we go okay so that that’s it that’s the creating a compass rose okay before I leave you on this I just want to remind you here just bring this up there we go what a remind you to make sure that you LGR – Thrifts [Ep.44] Auld Lang Finds

LGR – Thrifts [Ep.44] Auld Lang Finds

[thrifty music] – Greetings, and yeah, Christmas 2019 is just over with, New Years is upon is, and so is a new decade, which is, well, it only comes
around once every decade, so I figured I’d go
thrifting one final time in the 20-teens before we
reach the 20 next, 2020s. Right, let’s go thrifting. [LGR Thrifts music] And off we go, visiting this Goodwill for one final time, before the decade ends. And then next decade begins in like four days, so whatever. And just getting inside here, and aw man, who left the dog out? Aw, Goodwill needs a good boy mascot, I nominate Buggy Dog. Over on the back shelf
of electronic stuff, this Sharp stereo stood out for being, I mean, it’s not the sharpest looking, but Sharp brand, it’s just
larger than I normally see, with a 50 disk CD changer, yeah, that’s a beefier all-in-one system than I normally see, yeah but whatever, there was this thing that I saw out of the corner of my
eye when I got over here. What in the world, man? There’s not much around back, like at all, and I just don’t even
know what this design is, the front sticker seemed to imply it was some kind of a game, and it turns out it is, by a company called Merch Source, it’s called the Black
Series Hover Target Game, it’s like a plastic
candelabra that shoots out air from its holes, and
hovers ping pong balls, you try to hit ’em with a dart gun. That’s a thing. And yeah, just down from there, on the other shelf is some
stuff that sort of stood out for being slightly different, like this older pair of
wireless, infrared headphones, never used IR headphones, but I can’t imagine they
work too great, I don’t know. Also had a pretty average example of a Polaroid Square
Shooter 2, Land Camera, haven’t seen one of these in a while. And then there was this
electronic slab of sorts, it really just had two buttons, backspace and start. Certainly a foot pedal for
some sort of electronic system, and yeah, around here, on the back as you can see
is a Panasonic RP-2692, which confirms that it
is indeed a foot pedal for a transcriber, dictation, recording, type of machine, for like micro-cassettes, like the Panasonic RR930. And down below there
we’ve got a record player, with a kind of amusing aesthetic, no needle, apparently. But yeah, this is a Sears system, one of those that I was drawn to simply because of the aesthetic, I mean I don’t know, that slanted, metallic front, chunky sliders, and the simplistic insides. It’s a cheap thing, no doubt, but I was really close to getting it just because it was so simple. Anyway, didn’t get it. And down from there is one of these phones that any time I see ’em I get a slight little bit of excitement, and then I realize it’s
just that stupid same one that I’ve seen so many times. It’s just a simple touch-tone phone made to look older than it actually is, with coin mechanisms
that don’t actually work, I don’t think. Or maybe they do, I don’t know. The whole thing’s plastic. Over in the media section, and there were actually
a few PC games in their smaller boxes, “Roller
Coaster Tycoon 3 Platinum”, of course I already have
that, highly enjoy it. And there’s also a “Stronghold
2” over here, also have this, but you know, I don’t know, I’m pointing them out because look, here it is, it’s pointed out. Hmm, let’s see, what do we got over here
in the randomness section, we’ve got two-speed electric scissors. This lady on front, why is she here? Is she making clothes
using these scissors? Does she cut her hair using them? Is this a veiled threat? I don’t know what to think. Anyway, old scissors that
are electric scare me. And speaking of scary,
but oddly intriguiging, there is this thing. I think it’s a candle holder. It’s really hard to tell. It’s a highly unique, hand-made, and $13, yeah I see you there, I see you. Right, onto another Goodwill. Fun fact, the lucky rock here, runs out of luck in just four days, so let’s see what we got. And what we’ve got are a
bunch of Christmas left-overs of course, including these very
bedazzling looking presents that are all lit up, and the usual stacks of
used Christmas trees, it’s just incredibly sad, used fake trees, it’s a
special kind of melancholy. All right, over in the media and whatnot, there’s a few PC things
hanging around here, mostly really boring stuff
like “500 Legal Documents”, now this one sure grabbed my attention, because it said “Space Quest”, but it’s not that “Space Quest”, but it did also say three
and a half inch diskette, but this is a CD case, and yeah, this is one
of those jewel cases, that usually will hold a CD, but has a special insert, to hold a three and a
half inch floppy diskette, which is pretty darn cool, I only have a few of
these in my collection, I you know, don’t know
why I didn’t get this, I should have gotten this. And I normally don’t look at too much in the audio CD section, but I saw these old “Now This Is What I Call Music” releases, like “Now 3” here, and yeah, the instant odd 90s
nostalgia this brings back. I’m not even sure it’s nostalgia, it’s just like weird memories
that haven’t resurfaced in almost exactly 20 years. Anyway, seemed appropriate
considering this is the end of 2019, this was the end of 1999, heading into the year 2000. Over on another media shelf I saw this intriguing stack
of fragile document mailers all sent out from the Chicago Daily News Language Records label, apparently, these are all like 10 inch
language learning series, like learn a language, 33 and a third RPM language
lessons on records, many of them appearing to be
brand new or very close to it. They have just an odd assortment,
I love seeing this stuff. Oh man, haven’t seen one
of these in Goodwill yet, this is one of the
Pip-Boy cell phone holders that goes on your wrist, from “Fallout 4’s” whatever edition, they’re charging $80 for it, which actually seems to
be about the going rate. And over next to this weighing machine that weighed like a billion pounds, I saw this Big Bobber floating cooler, it’s a cooler, that looks like
a fishing bobber, [laughs] yeah, I guess it’s a cooler
that floats beside your boat, a common enough idea, but an
uncommon design, I approve. Aw man, buddy, I feel ya. Look at that, he’s been through
the New Year’s hangover, and it’s not even quite New Year’s yet. All right, getting over
to the electronics, and we got some classics,
these Gateway 2000 speakers, Altec Lansing ACS41s, I’d actually like to
get a nice set of these, if they had the subwoofer
and the power supply, which this does not. A shelf up from there we
have some intriguing items, some cameras, a Konica C35, I quiet like the look of, as well as this Olympus 35 ECR, compact little metal cameras like this just feel nice in the hands, unlike that very plastic
older Polaroid back there. And these very plastic
cheap garbage VR headsets, that again, as I’ve said
many times on LGR Thrift, these are just littering
stores these days. It really is kind of a sign of the times, like at the end of this decade
these are just everywhere. Ah man, this brings back
unfortunate retail memories, especially around
Christmas holiday season, retail workers don’t get no respect, man. Especially in toy sections. Anyway, wanted to try to see if I can get over there and take a look at
the puzzles and board games. Eh, not a whole lot, that’s how it goes, although I did see one thing over here, not a game but a piece of software, a “Brodurbund 3D Home
Architect Deluxe 3.0”, and I have this one already, well I think it’s a little bit older, but these are fun, don’t know why I haven’t
done a video about them yet. Okay, over in the
whatever this is section, and there’s a bunch of whatever this is, including this thing, it is a Dynex USB
Parallel Converter cable, plug your older printer
into a more modern machine, nothing terribly special, it’s just I don’t see these too often, much less new in a package like this. Also don’t see this new in
package very often either. Look at GeoSafari, classic inserts here, this is the Wonders of
the Smithsonian Pack, yeah, it still had it, price sticker from Toys & Co. on there, I was always amused by these as a kid. Oh, and what do we have here, there’s a delightful little
basket of calculators. Actually some pretty
interesting ones in here. Several graphing calculators
from Casio, Sharp, and of course, Texas Instruments. And some older scientific
stuff like this TI-30 here from the late ’70s, and even one of the venerable
HP12C’s which they still sell. Shame this one had an R
scratched into the front, but hey, it had its case, it’s only $5, so yeah, I hope somebody picks this up that knows what it is, ‘casue these are nice, man, reverse Polish notation. The Goodwill searches continue
with another Goodwill. And right up front on
top of the glass case is this Mansfield 650 eight
millimeter film editor, and Mansfield, this is
satisfying to mess with. All those metal components,
and I don’t know, metal, it just feels good. [laughing] You got this PreSonus bag over here on top of some furniture, what is this? Well it appears to be a drum
pad from Yamaha, a DD65. Friend of mine had a less
advanced version of this back in the day, had a lot of fun banging around
on that, that’s for sure. And what do we have here? We got a Wii Tower of Power, of sorts. This is quite the set-up, you got spaces for games, and controllers, guess the Wii itself, gotta wonder how many
of these things sold. Balls. Over in the kitchen stuff,
what do we have here? Looks like a old-school
pour-over coffee maker, of sorts, yeah, it’s a Bodum design thing, it’s very red, very plastic, seemingly from the U.K., or Europe. – [Computer Voice] Denmark. – [LGR] I like making pour-over coffees, so it had my attention. Alrighty, board games and other things, and this stood out, ’cause not English, this appears to be a puzzle for trains. Yes, bullet train puzzle, that is one of the most
delightfully Japanese things I have ever seen, I kinda love it. This is interesting over here, almost thought it was a
couple of packs of cigarettes, but nope, it’s a couple
of packs of playing cards for Carnival Cruise Lines, the most popular cruise line in the world. Definitely an older Carnival, judging by the photography
and logos and whatnot, that’s pretty neat. Aw man, speaking of older stuff, check this classic Crock Pot out. Hamilton Beach Crock Watcher, this brings back memories,
dag-gum-it, I swear, saw this thing in like every other holiday thing that happened as a kid. Did seriously everyone have
one of these in this design, or something very close to it, ’cause man. Yeah, that’s a little different, at least for the keyboard
section at Goodwill’s, I’ve got a Razor keyboard
here of some kind, very flat one, chicklet
style keys and such, I don’t know what model it is, it looks like the stickers
were taken off the back, but yeah, $9 for you know, I’m not saying it’s a great keyboard, it’s just a little different in terms of brand than you normally see. Ooh, what is this wood-grained
wrapped monstrosity? From DBX no less, check out that in and out in the back, it’s a couple of fuses, and oh man, those cones are not in great shape, unfortunately, no sticker on the back either, but it looks like a DBSW, two by six, it’s a subwoofer speaker
system, it’s pretty cool, man. Rarely see older subs like this. Ooh, and check this out. Exactly the type of clock radio that I am eternally attracted
to and I don’t even know, looks awesome, looks fantastic. Ooh, I think we’ve hit
a mother-load of sorts, in terms of boring software. Actually there’s some
intriguing things in here, a lot of big box stuff, all the way from the late 80s, to the early 2000s, most of which I’m not interested in, or I already have it, or I just, you know, it’s kind of interesting
but it’s rather beat up, but these were all between
three to five dollars each, so I picked up a few of them. Got the “Merriam-Webster Online
Dictionary and Thesaurus” for Windows Three, “Rivers and Waterfall Screen
Savers and Wallpaper Pack”, “Fractal Chaos! Screen Saver” for Windows, “Expert Travel Planner” for Windows Three, and “My Internet Postage”
by Stamps.com, yeah, that Stamps.com. This not only comes packed with a lot of old-school postage supplies inside, but you could also just
print out postage right here, not even getting on the internet at all, just using the software. Still sealed, pretty neat. Alrighty, and we got one
more Goodwill to check out, before the end of the decade here, and yeah, they are still
building that building, over the building building building, don’t know what it is, there’s no signs up that I see that say what it is gonna be here, but obviously it’s a thing, and very close proximity to Goodwill, so we’ll see in 2020. And right inside on top of the glass case had a few interesting things here, but mostly this Thomas
Collectors Edition radio, number 75 of a limited run apparently. Despite the 1930s appearance, it is definitely not that old, it’s a recreation, but it’s pretty cool. Speaking of radios that
could be considered quote, pretty cool, I got this
transparent deal here, that is not just a
transparent AM/FM radio, but it’s also one of
those hand-cranking ones for emergency situations,
or whatever you need a hand-cranked radio for, an emergency radio, we’ll call it that. Nice idea on the part of the manufacturer to make it transparent, because you can see the
gizmo inside doing its thing, yeah, that right there
automatically makes this more amusing than any
other hand-cranked radio I’ve ever had. Over in the electronic junk section there’s some electronic junk, including a super-loud phone ringer, never miss another call. I just like that it says super-loud, not just loud, it’s super. And a shelf down from that, this grabbed my attention, first for that classic JVC design, but then just because of what it is, the XLR5010 CDR, yep, it’s a compact disk recordable, but actually three of ’em, perfect kind of late 90s
party device right there, that’s actually pretty darn cool. Speaking of pirate devices, [chuckles] I got this Go Video DDV 9050 VHS copier, as well as this Realistic High-Power Video/Audio Tape Eraser. Man, seriously, somebody
was into copying some stuff back in the day, fun times. Look at this little tchotchke, this is exactly the type
of thing I remember seeing on like my mom’s managers desk
at the hotel back in the day, Sporty Memos, it’s just like
a little golden clippy thing that holds things in place, and looks like a thing, in this case a tennis racket, ah, it’s amusing. See what’s over here? We got some older lookin’ bottles, yeah, I’ll say, “Federal law forbids sale
or reuse of this bottle” I like old bottles like this, don’t know what I would do
with ’em, but I approve. Checkin’ out the VHS section
over here, and my goodness, somebody had a whole collection goin’ on, and didn’t open most of ’em. Seems to be a complete
selection of “The Waltons” from Columbia House, on VHS, man like seriously, every episode. Gotta wonder the situation where somebody bought all of these, and then just never opened ’em. Hot dang, this must be
the day for Goodwill’s with slightly interesting keyboards. We got this Fantech K10 Hunter back-lit pro gaming keyboard over here. Oh man, that Sony
Spider-Man font on the keys, and despite the mechanical appearances, this is absolute garbage to type on, what in the world? It’s got all these impressive
sounding specs around back, but the switches, they’re non-existent. And what do we have here on this table? First I thought it was just a bunch of vinyl laid out on top of each other, but it’s actually an art
piece all glued together, that’s a bunch of albums
in one piece for a wall. Man, how many is that? It’s gotta be a record. And then finally on the end-caps here, I noticed all of these boxes marked as $1 today only, soap dispensers. [giggles] I mean, I don’t need
one, but it’s a dollar. [giggles] it’s a battery-powered soap dispenser. I’m getting one. And there we go, that is it for the final episode of LGR Thrifts for this decade. This is episode 44. Yeah, look at the things that I got. Maybe not the most impressive to everyone, but these amuse me, so. Yeah, I got an internet
postage big box thing, a dictionary, waterfall screen saver, travel planner, “Fractal Chaos!” and a friggin’ 32499 Kimberly Clark
Professional Soap Dispenser, because why not? It was a dollar. Pretty nice lookin’ battery-powered soap dispenser right there, kind of looks like a storm trooper. Now I guess I just need some soap. [chuckles] and apparently that’s like $25 a bag, so that’s where they get ya. Give away the razor, sell the blades, et cetera, et cetera. Anyway, that’s all for
this episode of Thrifts, and as usual, thank you
for supporting the show, and requesting more episodes, and sending in your own thrifting finds over however many months
it’s been since the last one, has it been months? It feels like months, I don’t know. It’s a long time sometimes between these, just because it’s not always
the most opportune time to go thrifting throughout the year, usually this time of
year’s a little bit slower, but you know, is what it is, so thank you for sending in your own finds so I can include them here, and as usual, thank you very much for watching, we’ll see you in the next episode. Next year, next decade, all that kind of stuff. [babbles] [funky music]

She’s Bringing Ankara Fashion to Singapore and Beyond | My Shopify Business Story

She’s Bringing Ankara Fashion to Singapore and Beyond | My Shopify Business Story

I’m Iffy. I’m the founder and the designer of Olive Ankara. I recently left research, to pursue a dream which is to bring Africa to Singapore. Singapore, there’s not so much black community and I really needed to find a place where I could feel like a little bit at home. Singapore has this amazing thing that is a place where you can really experience the meaning of ‘melting pot’. You can find people from different cultures all living peaceful in this island. I observed that there is no African culture. I felt like I was homesick. I was always going back home and I was stealing some clothes from my mom’s wardrobe. She was upset because I was never returning back the clothes so my grandmother gave me, my first Ankara fabric and I started doing clothes for myself. She’s a very creative person. She’s always smiling, always lively. Like contagious in her happiness. I’m happy to help her, when I can, if I can. When my husband and I got married. I decide to design my own wedding gown to have a Nigerian traditional wedding. When I wore the dress, that I created and I start dancing with that dress. Then I said ok, this is the time. All the name and meanings are given at the market. The ladies they were creating a story around the fabric. So for example, this one that is called ‘speed birds’ which is this. The meaning is like, money has wings you need to use it wisely. I will match the fabric and the design. ‘Olive’ is a name that I really like that I will give to my daughter one day. ‘Ankara’ is the name of the fabric which is also known as ‘African Fabric’. The cool thing about Singapore is that people are really curious. First of all it’s something different that they are not used to it. This is always a big win for the business. When I started the brand, I was only online. But now, people can come to the showroom, try their clothes, feel the texture. I can tell them about the fabrics. What I’m doing and why I’m doing this. Can I try this one? – Yes!
– Wow! The biggest challenge was to start, because you’re always afraid about starting something new, something that you don’t know where it’s going to take you. You don’t have to be afraid, even if it’s not going to turn out good. You’ve been brave and it’s not a failure. This piece of cloth was used to make this Kimono. The fusion between the Japanese culture and African fabrics. People will start to know more about the brand, about the culture, about Africa. Not only fashion but food, music and what we can really offer.
