WordPress Tutorial: How to Add a Widget

Hi and welcome to WordPress.com. This video will show you how to add a widget
to your WordPress.com website or blog. To begin, launch the Customizer by clicking
on the tools icon in the bottom right corner, or, click on My Sites and Customize. Click on Widgets to view the widget areas
available on your theme. To add a Widget, select a widget area
and click on Add Widget. Scroll through the widgets available,
or use the search bar to find one quickly. Here we’re adding the Recent Posts widget. Use the default widget title, or, change it. Click on Visibility to use the conditional
drop-downs to control where and when your widget appears. For example, we’ll hide this widget
if the visitor is on the static front page. You can add as many widgets
as your theme allows. Click on the little triangle in the top right
corner to close the widget settings. Drag and drop your widgets to reorder
them within the widget area, or click on reorder to move them
to a different widget area. When you’re happy with your arrangement,
press save and publish to make it live. And that’s it. For more tips and tricks,
